Hello friends!

I´s friday! Here in Sweden it´s not even lunchtime yet (okey, now it´s actually evening but it wasn’t when I wrote this), still we´ve already managed a short speech at the local Företagar Frukost (business breakfast). Some words about our app Kulturnatta. Kulturnatta is an local event here in Leksand that takes place tomorrow. One whole day and night the center of the small city turns into an atmospheric venue filled with cultural events for all tastes. A festival where tradition meets new impulses. Very fun!

Mapletone has developed an event app that you can use for events like Kulturnatta. It´s very user friendly and you can see all the things that happens during the day and night, and get the latest up dates. We are very proud of this app.

The background picture at the front page in the app, is actually of the fabric of the shirt that is a piece in the traditional costume for men in Leksand. We´ve up dated the picture this year. Last couple of years we´ve been using an old wooden floor as a background picture, and a silver plectrum and a silver hook (also from the traditional costume, but for women) as buttons in the app. Very cool!

I love to work like that. Find inspiration in things, pictures, movies etc. Get away from all the tech talk and just be creative. Even though the techniques we use, and the codes that Martin builds is very (VERY!) advanced (magic in my eyes), neither of us use tech as inspiration when we do what we do.

So, it´s friday! We have to celebrate that with some music, don’t you think? So HAPPY friday to all of you and have a lovely weekend!
